Muséu Exipciu de Turín

El Muséu Exipciu de Turín (italianu: Muséu delle Antichità Egizie, lit., 'Muséu de l'Antigüedá Exipcia') ta asitiáu na ciudá de Turín, Italia, nel palazzo dell'Accademia delle Scienze, un edificiu d'estilu barrocu, proxectáu pol arquiteutu italianu Guarino Guarini, en 1678, pa colexu de los nobles. Ye unu de los museos más antiguos, y el segundu n'importancia pola so colección d'antigüedaes exipcies dempués del Muséu Exipciu d'El Cairo.

Oríxenes: Vitalino Donati

En 1760 Vitalino Donati, profesor de Botánica de la Universidá de Turín, viaxa a Exiptu por orde de Carlos Manuel III de Cerdeña. Una vegada nel país mover pol Nilo más allá de Asuán coles mires de recoyer especímenes de la flora y fauna amás d'antigüedaes como momies y manuscritos. Nesti viaxe va consiguir tres estatues: de Sejmet, de Ramsés II y otra la de la reina Tiy, esposa de Amenhotep III. Cuando Donati tornó a Italia traxo más de 300 oxetos que fueron les primeres pieces del Muséu d'Antichitá, más tarde conocíu como'l Muséu Exipciu de Turín.

La colección de Bernardino Drovetti

La mayor alquisición producir en 1824 cola compra de la primer colección d'antigüedaes exipcies al esplorador y diplomáticu italianu Bernardino Drovetti, quien trabayaba naquella dómina como cónsul francés n'Exiptu. Esta foi mercada pol rei Carlos Félix de Saboya, pola suma de 400.000 llires piamonteses, y constaba de más de mil pieces, compuesta per unes cien grandes estatues, cercos, sarcófagos con momies, papiros, y múltiples oxetos funerarios. Na colección destaquen les colosales estatues de Amenofis I, un Ramsés II sedente, la estatua de Tutmosis II y el Canon Real de Turín.

Ernesto Schiaparelli foi nomáu direutor del muséu, en 1894, amontando los fondos por aciu compres y campañes d'escavación en Heliópolis, Guiza, Asiut, Hermópolis, el Valle de les Reines (la tumba de Nefertari), Deir el-Medina y Gebelein.

Jean-François Champollion visitó esti muséu pa estudiar la so importante colección de papiros, que ayudáronlu a dar los primeros pasos nel desciframientu de la escritura xeroglífica.

The museum is very modern with audioguides and a nice atmosphere. We have walked around in this museum for 5h, the collection is really splendid! Certainly the very last room is magnificent!

Amazing pieces and explanation about them in this museum. I spend 4 hours and have learned a lot about the Egyptian history. I would just suggest that they could have a place for a coffee or lunch.
