Les montes Huang o Huangshan (lliteralmente, montes mariellos) son una cadena de montes asitiaos al sur de la provincia china de Anhui. Dende l'añu 1990 ta considerada como Patrimoniu de la Humanidá pola Unesco. La zona ye conocida pola guapura de los sos picos de granitu, polos sos montes de coníferes y pola vista qu'ufierten les nubes a lo cimero. Los montes sirvieron de modelu a numberosos pintores.

Orografía

El cordal inclúi numberosos picos, 77 de los cualos superen los 1.000 metros d'altor. El más altu ye'l Picu del lotu (Lian Hua Feng) de 1.864 metros, siguíu del Picu del Cume Brillosu (Guang Ming Ding) de 1.840 metros y del Picu celestial (Tian Du Feng) de 1.829 metros. La zona considerada como Patrimoniu de la Humanidá ocupa una área total de 154 km².

Los montes formar mientres el periodu mesozoicu, fai unos 100 millones d'años, al sumir un antiguu mar por culpa de la elevación del terrén. Mientres el periodu cuaternariu, el terrén viose modificáu pola acción de los glaciares. A partir de la dinastía Qin conocer como Yi Shan. El so nome actual dar nel añu 747 el poeta Li Po que les llamó por esi nome nos sos escritos.

La vexetación depende de l'altitú de la zona: per debaxo de los 1.100 metro atopen montes húmedos; dende ende hasta los 1.800, montes de fueya caduca; y percima d'esi altor, la vexetación ye alpina. La flora ye tamién bien variada. Un terciu de les families de Bryophyta de China tán representaes na rexón.

La zona tien numberoses fontes d'agües termales asitiaes sobremanera na base del Picu de la nube púrpura. L'agua caltién una temperatura de 45º C mientres tol añu. Tamién s'atopen numberoses piscines naturales concentraes na área de Songgu.

Los montes Aleluya de la película Avatar (2009) tán inspiraos nellos.

If you plan on going up to GuangMingDing (光明顶) to see the sunrise, make sure you get there before 4:20AM to get a good seat. Also bring a flashlight! There's also a hotel there or you can camp nearby.

Huangshan is known for its sunrises, pine trees,"strangely jutting granite peaks", hot springs, winter snow, and views of clouds touching the mountainsides for more than 200 days out of the year.

Dont forget to bring follow your own food (instant noodle,bread,snack) because food on mountain is overpriced.Well prepared your trekking equipmment,Heaven Celestial Peak is high,take good care

Took advantage of the free entry for foreigners (November 2017-February 2018). Much less busy in December than the heights of summer. Spectacular scenery but be prepared to work for it!

The Mountains are really nice (especially the view) but be aware of the prices! 230 yuan entry and food and drinks at the top a really overpriced!
