View from Mount Sinai
西乃山 طور سيناء הר סינ
Mount Sinai is called Jabal Musa by the Bedouin, and it means "Moses mountain". It is almost 2 300 meters high, overlooking the vast stone desert of the Sinai peninsula.
The walk up is some 3 hours long and it is so worth it. When descending in the evening, the light is just marvellous and it is as if the desert induces stillness into the soul and fills it with sky colours.
It is also a powerful symbol for our mutual spiritual origin and at the same time a period in our evolution where the law was "an eye for an eye".
Later we came to realize the importance of forgiveness. We are still working on that as a humankind :) Blessings on us all!
Thank you for your visit and comments! I appreciate your presence! 谢谢
Love
Stefan
